Great article --- really challenging to me, as I'm definitely a person who makes those kind of assumptions... but I'm working on it. I like the four-step approach. Time to start getting aware when I'm being the victim instead of letting it build resentment that I have to deal with later.. :)

The funny thing about making assumptions and casting ourselves in the role of victim is that it does build resentment...resentment that we tend to direct outward when really it's our ourselves we resent for having played the victim rather than being pro-active.
